Overview: Marta Vendyšová grew up in a wealthy family and married a well-known and successful architect. Soon after the start of World War I, she received news that her husband had been killed at the front. Among the things his friend from the front gave her was a medallion with a child's face, which she had never seen on her husband. She decides to track down the donor.
